I bought an OSP 502 electronic drum set several weeks ago, and whenever I power the drum brain on, it immediately shuts itself off. I know the set works otherwise because if I hit a pad during that 1-2 second time frame, sound comes through. The set is designed to use a 9 volt DC adapter, but it has had a 12 volt AC adapter plugged into it for possibly as much as a year or 2. Could it have overloaded and burned out a circuit in the brain? Is this fixable, or do I need to buy a new brain? (Intelligence puns welcome)

I have been playing drums for 13 years now.I am a young 23 yr old. But I have come to the realization that I will never become the next, buddy rich, billy cobham, tony royster jr., or even the amazing travis barker. But drumming is my passion and I dont ever wanna give it up. So soon I will be moving into a small apartment and I wanted to get a drumset agian. But since I wont be going on tour or anything I wanted a nice affordable electronic set. I love the roland V-drums but 2,000 – 5,000 bucks is not in my budget. What I am asking is…has anyone ever played on this kit before? and if so what did you think of it? and is it a good deal for the money? let me know please. Thanks the drumset is in the link below. just clickit and check it out for me

I have an OSP brand electronic drumkit, and I was just wondering if you can just buy any drum module with auxiliary trigger inputs and use that instead of the OSP one…? Anyone know?
